Spinach is a much more versatile food than is often believed. Both raw and cooked, they provide a lot of vitamins (especially A, B9 and K9) and nutrients, while having few fats and few carbohydrates.

You can eat both hot and cold, that will depend on your taste. For a cake to be healthy, you have to choose foods that provide vitamins, minerals, fiber, complex carbohydrates, high quality proteins and healthy fats and is not a preparation that apart from the proposed purpose of weight loss and, in addition, provide satiety.

To make cakes as healthy as possible, it would be interesting to make masses of homemade cakes with less fat aggregates, without additives and preservatives. Enrich them with seeds and also use whole grain flours.Choose fillings with vegetables that are cooked as little as possible (prefer steam cooking), so that the greatest amount of nutrients are preserved after cooking the dough.

1.- Dough
  • 1 Egg Unit
  • 1/2 Teaspoon of Fine Salt
  • 4 Tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil Essen (Varietal Arbequina)
  • 5 Tablespoon of Water
  • 1 Teaspoon of Paprika
  • 180 gr. of Flour Leudante
2.- Filling
  • 500 gr. of spinach cut in julienne
  • 100 gr. of Fresh Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoon of Corn Fecula
  • 2 Egg Unit
  • 150 gr. of Pumpkin cut into cubes
  • 170 gr. of Can of Tuna Al Natural
  • 1 Teaspoon of Fine Salt
  • 1 Teaspoon of Pepper
  • 3 onions from medium to large

  • 1 pepper morron small

  • 2 medium carrots

  • Stuffed olives with red pepper.

  • Nutmeg.

  • 1 and a half teaspoon of cinnamon

3.- To decorate
  • 100 gr. of Fresh Cheese





1.-Mix with your hands. Turn the flour, salt, sugar and butter into a bowl and mix with your hands. We make a hole in the center and incorporate egg yolk and water. We continue mixing with our hands until a dough forms.




2.-Wrap in film: We make a kind of ball with the dough and wrap it in plastic wrap. We booked in the fridge about an hour. Our easy pie dough is made.


3.- Prepare the mold: After that time, we spread the mold with a little butter and flour. Re-kneading

4.-Remove the dough from the refrigerator and sprinkle flour. We knead it with a rolling pin until we have a thin dough


5.- Place on the mold: We stretch it with our hands and place it on the mold.

8.- Remove excess dough and bake. We use the roller to remove the excess dough from the top of the mold. Puncture the base with a fork and bake at 180 ° for about 30 minutes.





1.- Wash the vegetables well. We put the spinach to steam so that it does not lose its nutrients, we let it cool and then we remove the water and then chop it, we reserve.


2.-When the spinach reduced add the tuna cans.

4.- Incorporate the corn starch together with the salt and the nutmeg. Wait for the cornstarch to thicken the preparation. And add the cream cheese.


5.- The garlic that we will chop, the onion we will cut it small, the morrón cut into small squares, we will scratch the carrot and we will cut the cabbage very finite if they like it and if not it can be ignored.


6.- In a pan or saucepan put the olive oil and butter over the heat, place the chopped garlic and sauté a few seconds to release its juice. then add the onion and the morrón, sauté a little and introduce the carrot and cabbage, cook a few more minutes, remove from the heat. We added the spinach we had reserved, the mackerel, the tuna, the egg and mixed a little.


7.- Season with cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and pepper, mix well.


8.- We cover the pan with the lid that we have chosen, pour the filling and with the help of a spatula we will spread this throughout the mold to match and cover well.


9.- Cut the olives into slices and the diced hard-boiled eggs, place them on top of the filling in an intercalated manner and then cover them with the other top of the dough that we will prick with a fork so that when it is in the oven it does not inflate.


10.- We will take the previously heated oven to about 200 degrees and cook until the dough is golden; if you like, you can brush it with a little milk and sprinkle with sugar, for lovers of bittersweet, that touch suits you well.




The bread crumbs help not to moisten the dough, which is caused by the vegetables.
