DESCRIPTION:

 

 

 

A wine cork sculpture is ideal to decorate any room and serves for family activities especially with children can be any type of figure. It is also a way to recycle corks that usually end up in the trash. It is a beautiful decorative element that adapts to any room and ideal for nurseries. It has no danger.

 

 

STAGES:

This activity has 3 stages.

 

1.- Collect the corks from wine bottles
2.- Create the structure
3.- paste the corks and make the figure

MATERIAL REQUIRED:

 

 

 

 

  • A variable number of wine corks depending on the figure you want to make

  • Diary paper

  • Wire

  • Packing tape

  • Pegamnetp of wood

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS:

 

Step 1: pick up wine corks from friends and family

 

Step 2: we started off with wire clothes hangers bending them into the shapes needed for the body, legs and neck. Using newspaper and packing tape we “bulked” up the body shape.

 

 

 

 

Step 3: Once the frame for the sculpture was finished I used hot glue to start attaching the wine corks to the body of the sculpture.

 

Step 4: Paste all wine corks were attached, and let the piece dry. And ready

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

TIPS

 

  • It is very important to know what figure we want to make to design the mold where to stick.

  • The corks. The easiest are animals or human figures.

  • The frame of the figure should be aligned as indicated in the instructions.

  • You have to collect a sufficient number of corks so we must calculate it well.

  • The corks should be stuck one by one

Step 8.- Turn the raw edges of the hole inside; pin if you can.  Then hand stitch the hole closed. Done!
